Secrets and Lies - work for class
Watch the whole extract in the RESOURCES FOLDER.
In your pair, create a POWERPOINT to be presented to the class. You need to:
1. Watch the individual extracts.
2. For each of the individual extracts, put one extract on your slide e.g. 'Secrets and lies one"
3. On the slide put notes of the following:
a. Mise-en-scene - costume, hair, make-up, body language, facial expressions etc
b. Sound and Light - what does it add?
c. Representations of Britishness
d. Colour - what does it signify?
e. Use of stereotypes - who is being stereotyped? Are the stereotypes negative?
f. Why have stereotypes been used?
At the end, make some notes on what you have learned overall from this activity about MES, signification and representation.
Miss will ask you to present all the slides as a group so you will be asked to present a couple of your slides to the class.
Good Luck :-)
